Our Story There we were, in the middle of a vineyard. He on one knee, asking me to be his; me, tears filling my eyes and through the brightest smile ever I replied with an exuberant "yes, of course I'll marry you"!
But it didn't begin here. It began four and a half years ago with simple beginnings. We met at our church family reunion and through serving together, our friendship began. Thisfriendship was crafted and formed in the midst of a phenomenal community. With dear friends we sat around a shared table with good eats, good conversation, celebrating one another, bearing one another's burdens, and everything in between.
With this community, we lived life together. And in the midst of this community, through beautiful peaks and painful valleys, our friendship deepened and little did we know God was at work crafting something even better. Our hearts found their way to one another through the gentle and perfect nudging of our graceful Father.
From a trip to New York with friends, to amazing dates, monthly anniversary flowers and lots of laughs in between, our courtship finally ended on May 17th. And here we are, best friends who are trading in two stories for one. We are incredibly excited to turn this new page and watch God write more of our story. We are humbled that God would choose us for one another to partake in a covenant that illustrates the ultimate Bride and Groom. We believe that marriage is a small glimpse of God’s never-ending pursuit and unbroken love for His church, His bride.
Our prayer is that on this day, you will see a glimpse of that pursuit and that love through our marriage. We are excited for the story God is writing for two very imperfect people and pray that He will do more in and through us so that, when all is said and done, we will look more like Him.
